If you've completed the No Hard Feelings achievement and encountered the "I'm Different" turret then you can see the comparison between GLaDOS and Prometheus. Both were cast into the bowels of the earth and pecked at by birds.
Recently this image started making rounds on the internet. It is clear that the mythological undertones in Portal 2 run far deeper than just GLaDOS and Prometheus.
Atlas, the blue co-op robot, is a clear reference to the Titan punished by having to hold the world up. P-body doesn't bear a striking resemblance to any of the Titans, but the comparison has been made to Menoetius. Wheatley resembles Epimetheus, who is clumsy and makes poor decisions. All four of these Titans were brothers.
Here's where it gets really interesting. Chell plays the role of Pandora. Pandora bears a link to Epimetheus (Wheatley) as she grants him great power, which he unwittingly uses to much destruction. This is parallel to Chell giving Wheatley control over the facility.
In chapter 6, one of the signs in the old abandoned area has a label that reads "Tartaros". Tartaros was the place where Zeus sent the Titans for punishment.
The hidden picture of Cave Johnson and Caroline has a shadowy figure hidden in the far left area of the frame. After the image was enhanced, people started claiming the strange figure was a child version of Chell. However, the figure bears a striking resemblance to a depiction of Aeschylus, who wrote the Prometheus story.
Finally, at the end of the game when Chell wanders outside after gaining her freedom, wheat fields abound. Elysium was a mythical land of reeds that served as a sort of heaven-like realm in mythology. It was set aside for heroic and virtuous beings, like Chell as she escapes from her ordeal.
What does this all mean? No one can be sure. But it is damn interesting.

Portal 2 Achievements
Today I'll be showcasing four achievements that you can obtain.
The first achievement is Pturretdactyl. To obtain this achievement, you must launch a turret on an aerial faith plate. This sounds simple enough, but test chambers where there are both turrets and faith plates are few and far between. Go to chamber 06 in Chapter 2. Proceed to the end of the chamber as you normally would and press the button. Garbage will fly through the air. One of these objects is a turret. Usually it won't go through the portals you've set up so you might have to go pick it up on the platform near the launcher. Otherwise just catch it as it flies over you and portal back to the beginning to launch it.
The next achievement is Final Transmission. This achievement takes place in the same stage as the previous one. Another one of the items is a radio, the same type that appeared all over the original portal. Catch it and portal back to the entrance. Keep your portal up on the first launcher and place the other portal on the wall perpendicular to the launcher. Fly through the air and you'll land in one of Rattman's rooms. Carry the radio into the room and you'll get some feedback, and the achievement.
The next one is in chamber 10 in Chapter 3. The Overclocker achievement is purely a speed run of the room.
Pit Boss is arguably the easiest achievement to get. Right at the beginning of Chapter 9, Wheatley tries to kill you with a bunch of spike plates. Instead of escaping, come back to Wheatley and jump into the pit per his request.

Chapter 8 Walkthrough
Stuck on Chapter 8? The test chambers in Chapter 8 are some of the most difficult in the entire game. They combine all the different testing elements that you've been exposed to throughout the game and mix them together. I created this walkthrough for players stuck on chapter 8, broken down into individual chambers. (Warning: Spoilers)
